Artist Statement
I work at the interval between seeing and losing, where shame, grief, longing, rage, and memory concentrate. Stopping thought is my real work.
I use whatever materials and processes register the moment best: acrylic, watercolur, ink, graphite, charcoal, and photography. Black and white only.
Painting requires no justification. I paint for myself. What follows belongs to the world.
